Completely new syncing API and optimisation features for high use accounts
Syncing API
We have completely overhauled the syncing API calls and processes to improve the app's performance and speed whilst syncing and backing up your data.
You may notice a higher ‘items to sync’ on the counter, than previous versions. This is just due to the slightly different function, and it not an indication of charts un-synced.
Syncing should be much faster that before.
Account Optimisation
For accounts with larger number of charts, you now have the option to offload older dental record data to help reduce the size of the database, this may help app performance.
The optimisation functions ‘offload’ dental chart data to the server leaving an ‘offloaded’ chart still visible in the chart archive, but you will need an Internet connection to view chart PDF.
To access the optimisation features:
- Tap thePimburyDental logo on the dashboard screen, to display your options.
- Choose the relevant options
- Tap‘Optimise Now’ to run the optimisation, this may take a couple of minutes depending on the amount of data to offload.
Options to offload charts include:
- All charts from archived horse and/or client records.
- Historical dental charts - for horse records that have more than one dental chart this will offload all historical charts leaving only the most recent available offline.
- All charts older than 24 month - this will override the option above.
All data is still stored on our secure server, and can be downloaded for editing if needed, just open the chart in the chart archive and tap ‘Edit’.
This process can be reversed by turning off the options and tapping ‘Optimise Now’. Please be aware this may need some time to download all the data required.
